Colbricon exudes memories
It almost feels like looking at a postcard. In the background, there are lush forests framed by the majestic peaks of the Dolomites, while in the foreground is Hotel Colbricon with its decorated façade. A fairy-tale hotel that perfectly fits into the idyllic village of San Martino di Castrozza. Central, quiet, and with a breathtaking view of the millennia-old Pale di San Martino massif, the Vette Feltrine mountain range, and Mt Lagorai. As soon as you walk through the front door, you’re welcomed by Isabella, her brother Antonio, and their team. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, like in times gone by. It all started “for fun”.
As early as the end of the 19th century, the beauty of San Martino di Castrozza began to attract English and German mountaineers, enchanted by its majestic mountains. In the 20th century, the rise of tourism changed the landscape of the village, and it was during this period of innovation that Colbricon was established. The initial idea was to turn it into a casino, but fate had other plans in store for what was to become our favourite place.

The casino project vanished, and Colbricon was soon transformed into a hotel. Over the years, its management passed from family to family, until in 1983 it was bought by Tullia and Domenico, Isabella and Antonio’s parents. Their love for this new project can still be admired today. Hotel Colbricon changed its look (at the time, the building was entirely red), was renovated, extended, and decorated with frescoes, without ever losing its traditional Alpine charm.
And today?
Today, Colbricon is as you know it: elegant, refined, discreet, welcoming, and with an eye for detail. And so are its two owners, Antonio and Isabella, who continue to run it with the support of their parents and a close-knit team who welcomes you with a bright smile.
